Prior to joining Roberts Labor Law, April worked for the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) as a Legal Rights Attorney. During her time with AFGE, she represented AFGE Locals, Councils, Districts, and individual employees in various administrative litigation forums. April has also worked for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where she represented the agency in a broad range of national grievance work as well as handling individual employee lawsuits. This agency-side work provided April with a unique perspective on labor-management relations.
April’s diverse experience advocating for, working with, and representing employees in the federal sector expands and strengthens the services we can provide to our clients. Along with direct representation, April is available to provide training and consulting services on a plethora of issues and topics. April is an active member of the Maryland and D.C. Bars, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
